Madonna is said to have nixed a movie role for her sometimes boyfriend Carlos Leon because she thinks it hits too close to home.

Leon, the father of Madonna's daughter, Lourdes, was all set to play Ricky, a Cuban gigolo who romances a rich woman, according to private investigator Frank Monte, who is writing and directing a film based on his adventures. But then, Monte says, Madonna took a look at the script for "The Private Eye." Apparently she didn't want audiences drawing comparisons between hustler Ricky and her own lover man, because Monte says she let Leon know she didn't want him doing the movie.

Not to worry. Leon is said to be talking with director Spike Lee about a part. And Monte is negotiating about other roles with Roy ("The Invaders") Thinnes, David ("Man From U.N.C.L.E.") McCallum and swimsuit siren Kathy Ireland.
